Atletico Madrid are in talks with Chelsea to sign midfielder Conor Gallagher
The 24-year-old is currently enjoying a break after representing England at Euro 2024 in Germany.
Gallagher has yet to finalize personal terms with the Spanish club and might need further persuasion to make the switch.
Chelsea is reportedly open to selling Gallagher, who is in the final year of his contract.
Although there have been discussions about extending his contract this summer, it's uncertain whether the proposed terms will be enough to retain Gallagher, who has been with Chelsea since he was six years old.
Tottenham and West Ham expressed interest last summer, but there has been little news about a potential move to a Premier League team this year.
New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca commented on Gallagher's future ahead of a match against Club America in Atlanta, stating, "The transfer window is open, so anything can happen—not just with Conor, but with all the players."
Chelsea has also shown interest in Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion, who is currently focused on the Olympics with Spain and is not entertaining offers at this time. Chelsea is known to have had at least one bid for Omorodion rejected this summer.
