CHELSEA MIDFIELDER ANDREY SANTOS HAS BEEN LOANED OUT TO FRENCH CLUB STRASBOURG FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON
The 20-year-old player spent the latter part of the previous season with the Ligue 1 side, where he made a total of 11 appearances and scored one goal.
Since joining Chelsea in January 2023 from Vasco de Gama, Santos has yet to make his debut for the club's first team. After his initial transfer, he was loaned back to Vasco de Gama, then spent the first half of the 2023-24 season with Nottingham Forest before being recalled by Chelsea.
Strasbourg, the club he will be joining, is closely affiliated with Chelsea through its ownership by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital's parent company, BlueCo.
Although Santos was part of Chelsea's pre-season tour of the United States, he will now depart from the squad to continue his development with Strasbourg in France.
