Arsenal poised to swoop in for Alvarez following his fallout with Pep at Man City

ARSENAL IS PREPARING TO MAKE A MOVE FOR JULIAN ALVAREZ FROM MAN CITY AFTER REPORTS OF A DISAGREEMENT WITH PEP GUARDIOLA. HOWEVER, A HUGE BID FROM PSG MIGHT OVERSHADOW ALL OTHER TRANSFER CONTENDERS

Arsenal are keeping an eye on Julian Alvarez's situation and might make a move following his reported fallout with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola. ESPN noted on Friday that Atletico Madrid is considered the front-runner to sign the Argentina international as they look to replace Alvaro Morata, who transferred to AC Milan earlier this summer. However, it now seems that Arsenal have entered the race to acquire the 24-year-old forward, with the Daily Mirror suggesting he could be heading to north London as Arsenal aims to strengthen their attack. The Premier League champions are expected to demand around £80 million ($102 million), and it remains to be seen if Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is prepared to meet that price. TyC Sports’ German Garcia Grova also reported that Paris Saint-Germain is interested in Alvarez, as they seek a top attacking option following Kylian Mbappe’s departure to Real Madrid on a free transfer last month. Gaston Edul mentions that PSG's offer might exceed Atletico's, making it likely that Alvarez will leave City this summer. The World Cup-winning striker recently had a disagreement with Guardiola, who stated he wouldn’t force an unhappy player to stay. Alvarez has previously mentioned he is uncertain about his future and will decide after the Paris Olympics.
