Arsenal Transfers LIVE: Gunners establish valuation for 25-year-old striker

ARSENAL TRANSFER NEWS AND RUMOURS TODAY: GUNNERS SET PRICE TAG FOR EDDIE NKETIAH

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are seeking around £30 million ($38 million) for striker Eddie Nketiah this summer, amid strong interest from French club Marseille.

Marseille have had two offers rejected by Arsenal, with the latest bid of £23 million (€27 million) falling short of the Gunners' asking price. Romano suggests that Marseille might consider ending their pursuit of Nketiah, even though personal terms with the player have been agreed. Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko is also keen on joining Roberto De Zerbi’s side, and talks are ongoing regarding a loan deal with an option to buy.

Marseille’s interest in Nketiah comes as they look to enhance their attacking lineup. However, Arsenal’s firm stance on their valuation suggests they are not rushing to let him go. Meanwhile, Arsenal have reportedly entered the race for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has been a standout performer in Serie A. Despite his impressive record and Serie A title win, his €150 million release clause poses a significant hurdle.

Arsenal are also pursuing Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, who has impressed Cristiano Ronaldo and is in the final year of his contract. Juventus are reportedly willing to sell him for about £25 million. Discussions have reportedly begun, but Arsenal need to negotiate a fair transfer fee with Sporting CP, who are demanding around €80 million for their top striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Lastly, Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Mikel Merino has given Arsenal the green light, and official talks have begun with Real Sociedad to secure the midfielder. Romano mentioned that while an agreement with Merino is close, negotiations are still in the verbal stage. Arsenal are reportedly working towards a deal worth over €30 million for Merino, who would be a significant addition to the squad.
